Victor TRETIAKOV — one of the greatest violins of the époque. Born in 1946 in Irkutsk he studied at the Central musical school and graduated from the Moscow Conservatoire (the class of Y.Iankelevich). When student of the first year he became the 1st Prize laureate of the 3rd P.Tchaikovsky International Contest. People’s artist of Russia, laureate of Glinka State Prize, he teaches in the Moscow Conservatoire and in the Cologne Higher Music School. Victor Tretiakov give concerts for more than 30 years, he performs in the greatest halls of Europe, America and Asia. He makes his recitals with the most brilliants philharmonic orchestras in Vienna, London, Berlin, Oslo, Philadelphia, St. Petersburg and Moscow, with symphonic orchestras of Paris, Rome, Tokyo, Pittsburgh and many others directed by the greatest masters such as E.Svetlanov, R.Camp, L.Maasel, Y.Temirkhanov, K.Kondrashin, C.Penderetsky, A.Previn, S.Meta, V. Gerguiev, M.Yansons. He worked together with famous musicians : Sviatoslav Richter, Mstislav Rostropovitch, Youri Bashmet, Oleg Kagan.
Victor Tretiakov made more than 50 discs with musical compositions of different music styles and schools: from Bach and Vivaldi to Shostakovich and Prokofiev.
Denis MATSOUEV represents the young generation of Russian musicians. In 1998 he made a brilliant display of his talent winning the 11th P.Tchaikovsky International Contest, becoming the 1st Prize laureate.
Born in Irkutsk in 1975 he left it at the age of 16 and studied in Moscow. In 1999 graduated from the Moscow Conservatoire (the class of S.Dorensky). He won, among others the Grand Prize of International Piano Contest in Rodenport (South-Africa).
Very young, Denis Matsouev began to give recitals. At present he gives around 90 concerts per year, he performed in 42 countries. He plays solo with the most famous symphonic orchestras : P.Tchaikovsky Big symphonic orchestra, philharmonic orchestras of Moscow, Iekaterinburg and Novossibirsk.
Vladimir ZIVA is a well-known Russian conductor. Honoured Artist of Russia, laureate of State Prize of Russia (1995), artistic director and conductor of the Nijny Novgorod philharmonic orchestra. Born in 1957, he graduated from both the Leningrad Conservatoire (the class of E.Koudriavtseva) and Moscow Conservatoire (the class of D.Kitaenko). He conducted the Moscow philharmonic orchestra, taught the orchestra conduction in the Moscow Conservatoire. From 1990 to 1992 he conducted the orchestra of the St. Petersburg Maly Opera Theatre Mussorgsky. With this theatre he went on tour to Cannes.
He is known as both symphonic and opera conductor. He gives about 50 symphonic concerts per year with musical compositions of different music styles and national schools.
Operas conducted by V.Ziva are various as well: classic shows as «Eugene Onegin» and « Snow-Maiden » of P.Tchaikovsky , « Thais » of Massenet ( in the Moscow Musical Theatre Stanislavsky and Nimerovich-Danchenko) go together with modern operas such as those of Britten « The Turn of the Screw » and « Albert Herring » (on the invitation of S.Richter for the Festival « the Soirees of December »), « Life with an Idiot » by Alfred Shnitke and « the Brothers Karamazov » by A. Kholminov ( at Moscow Chamber Music Theatre of B.Pokrovsky). V.Ziva performed together with the well-known soloists such as Y.Bachmet, D.Bachkirov, M.Maisky, A.Kniazev, M.Voskresensky, E.Virsaladze. He works on invitations with orchestras in Italy, France, Germany, Belgium, Spain, Denmark. He made discs of about 20 concerts with classic and modern musical compositions.
Moscow Symphonic Orchestra — one of the first orchestras of Russia which is not a State group. Founded in 1990, from 1993 to 1997 conducted by Antonio Almeida a well-known French conductor, the orchestra during this period was also conducted by V.Ziva, A.Kats, I.Golovtchin, D.Iablonsky. Soloists of the orchestra are V.Afanassiev, Y.Bachmet, V.Viardo, V.Repin, A.Rudin.
Moscow Symphonic Orchestra went on tour, having a great success in Great Britain, in France, in Spain, in Japan, in Hong Kong, in Korea, in Germany, in Finland, in Austria.
The Orchestra is also known because of the discs including musical compositions of Russian composers : P.Tchaikovsky , Glazunov, Skriabin, Rakmaninov, Mettner, Tcherepnin, as well as composers of other countries : Malipieri, Tournemire, and the anthology of Flemish music.
